cameron_photoTolerable Planet Enterprises is led by Cameron Brooks, who has spent over two decades at the cutting edge of energy markets and environmental advocacy. A seasoned executive, Cameron has served in senior positions in smart grid, renewable energy, and energy efficiency firms. As an advisor, he balances long-term vision with near-term objectives to design strategic campaigns and achieve business objectives. Cameron has deep experience with public policy, capital markets and electricity regulation that give him a unique ability to craft and lead innovative solutions for the environmental challenges of today.

Most recently, Cameron was Vice President of Policy for Tendril, a leading consumer smart grid technology company. In this role, Cameron was responsible for all utility commission interactions, government relations and stakeholder engagement. Previously, he was Vice President of Resource Development at Renewable Choice Energy, a full-service provider of renewable energy credits and carbon offsets. Cameron led investment outreach programs for the Clean Energy States Alliance (CESA) and Clean Energy Group (CEG), a coalition of state-level public benefit funds with over $4B of committed capital for clean energy commercialization. In this capacity, Cameron focused on outreach to venture and institutional investors, including forming a network of investment officers from 30 public pensions, endowments and institutional investors with over $1 trillion in assets to develop clean energy strategies for their portfolios.

From earlier in his career, Cameron has experience that spans a wide range of environmental, green building and media roles. In Telluride, Colorado, he founded an energy efficiency and green building consulting group, Telluride Negawatt; served as Assistant Director of Mountainfilm, the premier mountaineering, adventure and environmental film festival; and was the first Executive Director of Sheep Mountain Alliance, a regional environmental advocacy organization.

Cameron is a graduate of Yale University and holds an MBA from Cornell University. He and his family live in Boulder, Colorado.
